Alejandro Suarez is postdoctoral researcher at the GRVC Robotics Labs of the University of Seville. He has participated in several European and Spanish projects in aerial robotics since 2012, in particular with the development of lightweight and compliant robotic arms for aerial manipulation in the context of the H2020 AEROARMS project, or in the ERC Advanced Grant GRIFFIN project. He is currently involved in the AERIAL-CORE H2020 project, focused on the inspection and maintenance of high voltage power lines. He is also guest editor along with Matko Orsag and Jonathan Cacace in the Special Issue “Aerial Robotics for Inspection and Maintenance” in the Applied Sciences journal.
