The GRVC had a significant presence in the European Robotics Forum 2020, held at the Trade Fair and Congress Centre of Malaga (FYCMA) from 3rd to March 3rd to 5th. The ERF is the largest event of the robotics and artificial intelligence community in Europe, attended by more than 800 experts and entrepreneurs.

The GRVC showed in its stand at the Congress Centre prototypes of biomorphic aerial robots developed in the GRIFFIN ERC Advanced Grant. Several prototypes of the HYFLIERS, PILOTING and RESIST H2020 projects were also in display at the GRVC stand. During the ERF Professor Anibal Ollero showed the GRIFFIN birds and the other GRVC robots at the stand to the Andalusian Minister of Economy, Knowledge, Business and University, Rogelio Velasco.

Professor Ollero co-organized the Aerial Intelligent Robotics for Inspection and Maintenance workshop on March 3rd, where he gave the presentation New Aerial Robotics Technologies for Inspection and Maintenance.

Professor Ollero also presented the achievements of the AEROARMS project in the Success stories workshop and the recently awarded H2020 project AERIAL-CORE in the H2020 new projects workshop, both organized by the European Commission on March 4th. An AERIAL-CORE poster was on display on the H2020 new projects panel section, and Prof. Ollero and other GRVC members were in several interviews.

Prof. Begoña Arrue co-organized the TERRINet Robotics Research Infrastructures workshop on March 4th, where Professor Ollero participated in the Panel Discussion Robotic experimentation within Masters, PHD courses and Industry training courses.

One of the robots used by the Iberian Robotics team (GRVC, CATEC and IST-Lisbon) that recently won the Challenge 3 of the MBZIRC competition held in Abu Dhabi was shown in the GRVC stand. A presentation on our participation in the MBZIRC competition was given by Professor Ollero at the Empowering robotics research and tech transfer via competitions workshop on March 5th. Professor Ollero also co-organized the Robotics: a key technology for urban air mobility applications workshop the last day of the ERF.
