Last week the DURABLE project kick-off meeting was held in Biarritz (France) and count on the presence of members from GRVC (University of Seville), CTA, CATEC, Basque Energy Cluster, Lortek S. Coop. and Alerion Technologies. DURABLE aims to increase the performance of sustainable energies trough the validation and demonstration of aerial robotics technologies in the maintenance tasks of wind and solar plants.

DURABLE has a budget of 3,5 M € and it’s funded under the Interreg Atlantic Space. The leadership is carried out by the École Supérioure des Technologies Industrielles Avancées (France) and the project consortium is made up of 12 members of 5 countries, divided into 7 universities and research centres, 2 clusters, 3 industrial partners and another 3 partners inside a Consultative Council. The project will finish with the making of a layout and a technical demonstration in a pilot project.
