This Tuesday November 29th the AEROBI experiments were tested by members from the European Commission under a bridge of Algodonales de la Sierra (Cádiz). There where kind of three experiments: visual inspection, contact inspection (both with platforms designed by FADA-CATEC) and bridge beam deflection measurements. The results of these experiments were subsequently discussed and approved in the city council of Algodonales de la Sierra.
AEROBI is a project funded under Horizon 2020 agreements. This project aims to develop aerial robotic systems for in-depth structural inspection of reinforced concrete bridges, speedily and reliably, without interfering with the traffic and endangering the inspectors, that has the potential to be commercialised in the short term. This project was tested at the last month of October in Amphipolis (Greece) with very good results.
